ABOUT ME

I Am Passionate About Design and Problem Solving

I started my career as an interior architect and working on multiple large architecture firms in both Seattle and San Francisco. After 10 years in the architecture industry, I got involved in UX/UI design on an interior design project for a high tech client designing way finding graphic system. This experience got me interested in the UX design so I took a course in UX design at SF General Assembly. I was excited to better understand the significant overlap between UX design and architecture. The design thinking process is identical.

To further expand my skills and knowledge. I signed up for the University of Washington Coding bootcamp to learn and gain knowledge of coding and skills in multiple programming languages. This coding bootcamp gave me a great insight of the work involved behind the scene. Equipped with the skills of coding, it also made me a better UX designer who understands not only how the front end UX design process works but also the coding complexity and challenges engineers are facing in their daily work.

I thrive in a multidisciplinary environment with opportunities to learn quickly, tackle problems and come up with elegant solutions. Being a designer not only requires a good sense of aesthetics but also the ability to understand the psychology behind the design intention, which is particularly important when it comes to collaborating cross discipline.
